Our scribes are highly specialised with human resources backgrounds and/or an understanding of public service recruitment, at both state and federal level. Calcomm-Solutions’ scribes are skilled and experienced communications professionals. This ensures our commitment to excellent service for each and every client.

Iain Calman

Iain is the Managing Director of Calcomm-Solutions, a consulting organisation that specialises in designing and implementing holistic human resource initiatives that ensure alignment with the achievement of organisational objectives. Calcomm has a particular focus on recruitment support from workforce planning to scribing.

Iain has been providing these services for over six years and has built a strong reputation as a professional scribe, consultant, coach, facilitator, designer of formal training programs and in-house development strategies. Prior to establishing his consultancy, Iain worked for 12 years in the Australian Public Service in a variety of roles from resource and project management to human resource development.

Mark Rilatt

Mark is an human resources (HR) practitioner with over 25 years experience in managing and delivering on HR service and support requirements. Mark is able to define, contribute to and satisfy the exacting requirements of your department or agency. Mark’s HR background includes working with executive and senior managers on complex specialist recruitment programs aimed at giving organisations’ unique capability and strategic advantage, along with significant experience with major structural and cultural change programs.

Petrina Schiavi

Petrina is a qualified lawyer with a PhD in Sociology. She has worked as a sociologist in the Queensland public service, and has also practised law in both private practice and government. Petrina has been working as a scribe since May 2013. During that time, she has quickly developed a reputation for drafting high quality selection committee reports that accurately and sensitively capture the qualities of the candidates, their performance at interview, and the Panel’s recommendations. Petrina has experience providing scribing services from APS 2 to SES 2.

Allan Barden            

Allan is a former Australian Public Service senior manager with over 25 years experience in a variety of departments and agencies, leading and managing a culturally diverse range of functions/ teams in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. He has solid experience and expertise in government in policy, planning and human resource management. He translates this to providing high quality recruitment support including; job analysis, shortlisting, scribing, participation in selection panels, reference checking and other due diligence services and preparation of final selection reports.

Angie McWilliam     

Angie has 20 years’ experience within the recruitment industry and now incorporates broader HR consulting. Angie has held state, regional and Australasian executive management roles in the recruitment industry. Angie has provided recruitment services and human resource advice to the public sector across local, state and federal government, including Centrelink, ATO, ASIC and Brisbane City Council.

Shane Granger

Shane is a Workforce Planning specialist with more than ten years’ experience across a wide range of companies and industries. He has provided strategic level support to multinational companies such as Mincom and Finmeccanica and he completed the workforce analytics for the CASA Strategic Workforce Plan 2013-2014. Shane’s relevant experience includes workforce planning, analytics, recruitment support including, scribing, participation in selection panels, reference checking and shortlisting.

Ian Manning 

Ian’s career is distinguished by successful results delivered in both government and private sectors in Australia and internationally. His achievements include the development and implementation of regulatory frameworks and completion of complex and sensitive due diligence investigations. Ian applies his high level abilities to quality recruitment support including scribing, participation in selection panels, reference checking, shortlisting, administration of recruitment processes and assessment centre facilitation.
